"Elegance in Burgundy: An ‘Atelier’ Tasting with Anne Parent"
Saturday, November 14th at 3pm | Highlands Wine Shoppe
There are wine tastings, and then there are evenings that bring centuries of wine history right to your glass. Join us for an extraordinary ‘Atelier’ tasting with iconic Burgundy winemaker Anne Parent of Domaine Parent, a very special addition to our Highlands Harvest weekend celebration!
With a family winemaking legacy dating to the 17th century + an estate rooted in Pommard since 1803, Anne represents the 12th generation of this remarkable Burgundian family. The family’s story even includes Thomas Jefferson, whose passion for French wine connected him with Anne’s ancestor, Étienne Parent, who supplied him with wines during his time in France in 1787. It’s a fascinating connection between Burgundy’s winemaking heritage + one of America’s most celebrated early wine enthusiasts!
In 1998, she + her sister Catherine assumed leadership of the domaine, becoming the first women in their family to carry its winemaking tradition forward. Today, Anne brings that profound connection to Burgundy’s vineyards to every wine she crafts.
Having Anne join us stateside, here in our intimate tasting salon, is a tremendous privilege. For Burgundy lovers + curious wine enthusiasts alike, this is a wonderful opportunity to taste alongside the winemaker herself, ask questions + hear the stories behind the wines from someone whose family has helped shape the region for generations.
Join your hosts, Steve + Stephanie Miskew, as Anne personally guides us through 6 hand-selected wines, accompanied by an assiette de charcuterie, lively conversation + the incredible camaraderie that makes our ‘Atelier’ evenings so memorable. What better way to celebrate the harvest than gathering around the table with beautiful wines, delicious food + a truly exceptional guest?
Seating for this intimate experience is incredibly limited, + tickets must be purchased in advance. Please reserve your seat today!
We look forward to raising a glass with you soon. À votre santé!
